I head to the Botanic Gardens Friday afternoon.  It’s about a 15 minute wheel from my apartment.  Most of the walking paths are hard packed with some loose packed gravel.  A few paths are paved.  The Gardens are pretty flat and I did not have any trouble wheeling around on the gravel.  Christchurch Botanic Gardens are nice but nowhere close to as beautiful as Sydney.

After a few hours I wheel around Hagley park then go to Cathedral Square.  Theres not much left to the Square or downtown Christchurch.  The Church is heavily damaged and most buildings are demolished or scheduled to be demolished.

I find Lone Star Restaurant and Bar down the street from my apartment to have dinner.  It is accessible off Manchester St.  After dinner I head to The Stray Dog Bar to meet Sean for drinks and we again head to The Irishman to shoot pool.
